Practice of the Companions in finding Hadith Rasool in mutual disputes

Abstract

Allah Almighty revealed the Qur’an to His chosen Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),who properly explained and elaborated it. Without the required explanations and illustrations given by the Prophet(PBUH), the Qur’an may be misunderstood and misinterpreted by people. The Companions of Prophet(PBUH) knew that all the sayings, deeds, and revelations of Prophet(PBUH) come from Allah Almighty and these are totally religion. They consider it obligatory to follow the Sunnah and communicate what they heard to those who did not hear it. None of the Companions intentionally abandoned the Hadith of the Prophet (PBUH). Particularly they adopt Hadith when they differ in any issue and they didn’t hesitate to change their opinions for the Prophetic traditions.
