Abstract

The Qur’an is the final and complete revelation revealed to the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him). It has been preserved, word for word, in its original form as it was revealed. The Glorious Qur’an exerts a profound influence on the structure of the family, culture, and intellectual orientation of every individual in society. Whether one believes in God or denies His existence, affirms prophethood or rejects it, accepts the Day of Resurrection or denies it, and whether one defines good and evil based on divine revelation or solely through rational inquiry and scientific methodology—each of these choices fundamentally transforms one’s family system, cultural values, and worldview. Islam, therefore, presents its own epistemological framework that reshapes all dimensions of human life. This article seeks to explore in detail the Qur’anic foundations laid down by Allah for the establishment and sustenance of Muslim families across all ages. Furthermore, it examines how, by distancing ourselves from both Western liberalism and extremist ideologies, we can face the challenges of the modern era and lead an authentically Islamic family life.
