Child marriages, causes, psychological issues and preventions: In the prospects of Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Abstract

Under Age marriage is a problem of the whole world. It is also present in Azad Kashmir. Especially developing countries are suffering from it. There are many reasons for such marriages. These marriages are direct and indirect development of the country.  There is a big obstacle in the way.   Early marriages are the result of irrationality. Most people who marry young are infected with HIV, gynecology, disease, poverty, mental, economic, social, psychological, physical, reproductive health, complications during pregnancy, and blood transfusions.  However, it is also true that the society of Azad Kashmir is not tribal, due to which the oppression on social consciousness is not as high as in the traditional tribal society.  They are reviewing their marriage traditions. But this does not mean that minority marriages are not a social issue. Such cases are still being reported.  I think the best time to get married is when the children become physically and mentally mature adults then they should get married so that in both cases there are physical and psychological problems.  If less than 12 to 15 years of age then this trend is now very low.  Incidents of underage marriages are rarely reported. The proportion is much lower than before.
