ARABIC: دور تعليم المرأة وتربيتها في سعادة المجتمع في ضوء سيرة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم
The Role of women’s education and their training for the development of society: A Study in the light of Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)
The nations who, want to progress, keep education as their top priority hence they devote their maximum resources for the spread of education and betterment of scholars. Unfortunately, Muslim countries are going through its worst phase in this regard as the primary strengthening features are absent in their educational systems. The biggest factor behind that is the misunderstanding of confining the beneficial knowledge to the religious knowledge only. Even some scholars prohibit from acquiring the knowledge of applied branches like Chemistry, Physics etc with the pre-text that they do not bring any religious reward. On the other hand, Islam essentially is all about acquiring authentic knowledge and spreading it. The captives of Badar were released on the condition of teaching ten Muslims how to read and write. The Holy Prophet PBUH spared a day for the women education exclusively. So, Islam has always encouraged women education and Muslim history is full of its evidences. The people, who restrict women to the houses and prevent them from acquiring education, do not have true understanding of Islam. The only way forward is to revive the spirit of education in the society and encourage women to study and progress.
