Makhdoom Maulana Muhammad Usman mityarwi his efforts in education
Abstract
Makhdoom Maulana Muhammad Usman mityarwi, a muqallid of Hanafi School of thought, is an elderly personality and a great religious scholar of thirteenth Hijra. He was a student of Maulana Noor Muhammad Nopuri, a renowned student of Makhdoom Maulana Muhammad Hashim Thattawi, and contemporary of Maulana Abdul Wahid Seohani and Maulana Muhammad Ibrahim Thattawi. He was much keen and fond of ilm-e-Hadeeth as well as ilm-e-Fiqh (Islamic Juris-prudence). Among his famous students, are Mian Muhammad Zakir and his son Akhund Azizullah who were the first to translate the Holy Quran into Sindhi language. His son Maulana Makhdoom Abdul Kareem was an eminent Muhaddith of Sindh and also among the famous Ulama. Some of his books are: Muntakhab al-Mishkaat–manuscript, Sahih Bukhari with Taliqaat–manuscript, Persian translation of Shama'il Tirmizi.
